My beautiful Aunt. My confidante, my friend, my mentor. You understood a side of me not many did, and you always made me feel heard. There are not enough words to summarize the feelings that run through me, but then again there was so much we understood about one another without having to say the words out loud. Every time we would visit one another we would always refuse to say goodbye and instead say “see you soon”. It is almost unbearable to know I can no longer say those words to you, but I hold on to our tradition of never saying goodbye because you will never leave me. (Jessica, Jackie’s niece)
